A while back a modified IRC plugin was created for Bebot 0.4.2 that allowed you to send private messages from ingame to IRC though private messages. This version is not compatible with 0.6.3 and it seems that the feature was not implemented. For those of you with more PHP knowledge than I perhaps this could be added to bebot core or the module updated for the latest SVN. See attached module for the plugin that contains the working code for 0.4.2.

I've been attempting to add the old code to the current IRC.php but I'm confused on what the intention of the ao_msg function used to be.

As it is the module would send tells to anyone from irc.
I can see the person who originally coded that section attempted to limit the ability to send messages to only people on the bot's notify list but it was broken for some reason and the code was partly removed.

I'll upload an updated IRC.php that simulates the old behavior 'soon'.

Yep... I spent the time between my last post and this post trying to figure out why I can't upload files.
I wish I had come up with an answer instead of being frustrated and annoyed.
