Points, how to get rid of them.
« on: September 26, 2009, 03:35:20 am »
What do you do on your bot to get rid of points.

Well as my statistics show raids done on my bot have a 3to1 points given - points used rate. And with this tempo its not gonna take a long while before points just gets too high for new people to compete with. Nerfing how much raids reward is one option, but again it just scales the numbers down and does not remove the problem in any way as they would still have to farm just as much, everything would just cost less and raiders earn less. Any ideas?

All feedback appreciated :)

And there is no interested in changing raid system?

In our guild we are using RPIP (RaidPoint / ItemPoint = Ratio).
This gives everyone a fair chance to get loot, on how much they raid and gets item.
We also put new members into TRAIL where they are on bottom loot list for first ex 5 raid before they can get loot over other if their ratio is highest.
To get the calc correct, everyone starts with 1 IP

Ex on list:
Raider1: 10 RP / 4 IP = 2,5 ratio
Raider2: 8 RP / 3 IP = 2,66 ratio
Raider3: 12 RP / 5 IP = 2,4 ratio
Raider4: 4 RP / 1 IP = 4 ratio (but is trail)
Raider5: 8 RP / 2 IP = 4 ratio
Raider6: 25 RP / 8 IP = 3,12 ratio
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
- Sorry, i dont have time to reply question on PM. Make a topic.
