The new guildrelay, problems...
« on: February 08, 2005, 10:22:20 pm »
Tried the new guild connect function in 2.0.1.0 and it does not work.
When faking a bot (by making it relay to oneself) it works fine but when you actually set it up between two bots it returns /tell <botname> !help which in turm returns the same back to the first bot resulting in a giant spamming session.

wtb help :)

I dont recommend relaying ingame..
your bot can get supseneded if there is much activity in GC...
due to the massive anount of pressure on chatserver...

Well it's a needed function and would hate to have 2 ign bots running for that sole purpose.

It worked perfectly in my test. Could you send me a little snippet of the logs of the bots? Just so that I see what they're sending and recieving?

Sorry for the late reply
Here is a sniplet from another test, making one bot invite someone to another bot.

[2005-03-01 17:09:25]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: !invite Nesina
[2005-03-01 17:09:25]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:27]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: /tell apfbot !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:27]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:29]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: /tell apfbot !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:29]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:31]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: /tell apfbot !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:31]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:34]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: /tell apfbot !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:34]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:37]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: /tell apfbot !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:37]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:39]   [TELL]   [INC]   Apfbot: /tell apfbot !help
[2005-03-01 17:09:39]   [TELL]   [OUT]   -> Apfbot: /tell apfbotadmins !help

This ONLY happens when it's from one bot to another.
