upgrading to Trunk.
« on: September 25, 2007, 10:01:50 pm »
well, as some of you have experienced, (and me) the bot were forgetting access levels ect.

well i decided to upgrade to trunk.
with that upgrade there is some new problems that i hope someone can help with.
i went all the way back to no# 1000, but it seems that im missing somthing.

when starting the bot i get this:

Code: [Select]
Conected to MySQL

warning: missing argument 23 for Bot::Bot(), called in C:\bebot\main.php on line
153 and defined in C:\bebot\sources\bot.php on line 124

warning: missing argument 23 for Bot::Bot(), called in C:\bebot\main.php on line
153 and defined in C:\bebot\sources\bot.php on line 124

warning: missing argument 23 for Bot::Bot(), called in C:\bebot\main.php on line
153 and defined in C:\bebot\sources\bot.php on line 124

warning: missing argument 23 for Bot::Bot(), called in C:\bebot\main.php on line
153 and defined in C:\bebot\sources\bot.php on line 124

and the bot continues to load after that.

then after logon and all that, then it says

Code: [Select]
[SETTINGS]      [ERROR] The setting named enabled
for setting Grouo statistics dose not exisit.

what am i missing ??

Check your .conf against the trunk .conf.  More than likely your missing a setting.

Did you grab all files out of trunk, not just updates of the ones you got?

To move to trunk you need to get all the .php files on the svn server, except modules in the modules directory that you don't want to use anyways.

To me it looks like you may have forgotten to update your Main.php

might werry well be, i have grabbed all file from the "svn" from 1000, and all the way up tp where we are now, exlept the ones marked, for other vertions than the trunk. so if main.php have been updated b4 the "svn no.# 1000" then that is the problem. but well, im not a superuser, on this bot. im just the one who like it to work, and run smooth.

sounds like you didn't get all of them, a good practice that I, myself do is make one directly for just the svn and then update my bot directory after testing..  I use a program call TortoiseSVN (google it :)  ).  that will pull everything you need.  Just make a directory after installing it, and then right click on that directory.. everything else is self explanatory.  and you will have to look around a bit, to get the information that you need to put it in there.  But if you are going to run the SVN version then you should be use to searching this site, or you should get use to searching it, and also I don't have the info you need atm on this computer so I cant tell ya anyway.. :(

I would really suggest just starting a new bot.  Not sure what version you are upgrading from but there are a lot of changes, and I found it easier to get the svn up and running and then migrate what I want over.

It is worth noting that the SVN might not always be "an upgrade"(tm) as it does sometimes contain work in progress.

We attempt to keep it working but very often it will not. If you are not experienced with PHP then using the SVN instead of the stable branch is recomended.

The only problem that can't be solved by adding another wrapper is having too many wrappers.

okay, problem fixed, and bot have now been running for aprox. 10 hours. not saying that it is stabel yet.

and yes, i was missing an upgrade of main.php
and after that upgrade, it turned out that there were a few too many files in core, after thous were removed, and some new files in /core/ were installed, all the error msg´s have gone.

well, guess im running 5.0.build 1090 now.
:)
damn, now this topic is posted in the wrong thread, on the forum Doo....  :D
