I am having difficulties when starting the bot (used the very old 0.2 before with no problems):

Any ideas?

As we are in the 0.4-Supportforum, I thought that it was obviously 0.4, fresh downloaded yesterday.

Maybe my problem is here:
"MySQL database server version >= 4.1.1" - I have 4.0.25 and I am a real MYSQL-Noob (am happy to have that version up'n'runnig).

Seems like an obvious enough problem. A more recent version of MySQL is needed. BeBot is developed for MySQL 4.1 and above.

well the other security.php problem posted in thos forum was SVN which is 0.5 so just checking

Don't ask me how, but I was able to upgrade MySQL to 5.something and get it running.
Now the BeBot is running, too and I have to set it up so that my guild is happy
