What exactly do i need to download to get this and how much of a hassale is it?

As for "how much hassle"  it is that depends mostly on how much you know. Since you asked the question I would recomend sticking to the stable branch as it has got a lot less hassles.

The alternative is waiting for 0.3.4 which should be fairly stable. Not sure about the time-span for it tho.
The only problem that can't be solved by adding another wrapper is having too many wrappers.

And yes, bebot is a lot better than IGN - if you know a bit about php. If you don't, you'll either learn PHP over time or dump the bebot. ;)

0.3.4 is still technically a development release. But you're right, it should be fairly stable. :D
