So hello there :-)

My nature language is german and so i found a Parsing error (in Items.php)
I tried to add a Item with Iso 8859-1 Characters to the Database ,but
i get an error

/tell XXXXXXX itemreg [Finns Gebräu]

How can i parse these Items with the Letter (öäüß and ÖÄÜ) in it?

Noer's the one who does most of the work on the item database, however he's currently away for the week. I'm sure he'll look into this when he gets back.

I know this post is old, but I've just gotten the same problem. I'm using the item parser function to store some items for a my own module in this case, and while it shows the characters correct in console it does not save anything to the DB.

I'd guess it has something to do with this earlier reported issue that got no real answers, unless I am wrong of course, anyone around who knows what could cause this?

Unfortunately I am in a position where I have no time at all to allocate for fixing this issue. But its simply some regular expression changes that needs to be done in the Items.php

The database should support it just fine.

Thanks for reply Noer; I've not been smart enough to fix it myself yet, but I might look into it again. If you got time to make a full fix some day please do so, surely you would be done in a jiffy

For our German AoC guild members, I've told them to get the English client for now, hehe, thats my fix
