Author Topic: Bot sending tells to fast (Read 1958 times)

Hi guys,

1. I'm now and then having issues with messages showing as tells in log of the bots open window running it. I presume its simply sending tells out to fast without enough delay, is there a way to fix this maybe? It can't be a lot of extra time needed but clearly it does/can happen, so anyone?

2. I need to send an in-game msg/tell to x amount of people, e.g. 24 signed for a raid. How do I do this, I have a feeling every time I do e.g. a $this -> bot -> send_tell("message"); it will get issues with the required delay in between? Do all messages sent like this get queued technically? If so I presume increasing the delay might help me when I want to loop that command 24 times in a quick query?

The bot should queue all stuff automatically. I haven't had trouble with the queueing yet, except when I played around with the queue config parameter. Ended up using the default again.

we think the cause is too much being sent to the privgroup
ofc you dont use as a AoC user but the bot does
we have changed the setting for disableing privgroup to On by Default
but that for new bots only
use !set core
and disable pgmsg useing the setting there
this should not only reduce network useage etc but should solve your problem

Thanks for ideas and feedback, I'll disable that directly as it's indeed not used and sometimes I do see that in the log being sent there + then to the right target...
