Bebot newbie question
« on: April 15, 2009, 08:44:08 pm »
I've gone through all of the installation instructions and completed them correctly (as far as I know) except for the part "starting the bot".  I put mine in directory /bebot instead of the main directory where php.exe is just to keep it clean and orderly.  Now, the "Starting the bot" section gives an example for starting it in the same directory as php.exe and then leaves it at that.  What would the command be to start it in /bebot?

I'm using this for AoC, by the way.

You will want to simply go to a Command Prompt.
'cd/bebot' - to get to your bebot directory
then 'php startbot.php'

make sure the php folder is in your path statement otherwise c:\php\php.exe c:\bebot\startbot.php should work.

It may be easier to modify the bat file if you are on a windows system

open up startbot.bat in notepad and modify the paths to the respective programs.
