Hi,

For some reason I randomly get names of members changing from what they've always been to -1. This means when they log on the logon sees them as "-1" and any tells to the bot get ignored as not being from a member the bot knows. I have no idea why it does it or what conditions cause it but it is pretty annoying. I'm also not completely sure how to rectify it. I go through the Db and delete all the records with -1 in them and eventually things seem to resync.

Any ideas whats causing it and how I can avoid it?

Happens to me as well.. But I don't know of any fix. :/

It would be nice to have some more details on this issue.

Could you provide an example of a database row in which this has happened?
Also, if you search the bot's log or console output for the proper character name are there any clues in the log towards what might have happened?
Which version of the bot are you running? Is the code modified in any ways? Do you have any third party mods?

Yes sorry I wasn't sure what details you'd want but I should have given more than I did.

Game is AoC
Bot is 0.6.2 and there are some custom modules running but nothing out of the ordianary (Deot, ginfo, guides, homer, love, mpython, mquote, rquote, supplies and trek)
PHP 5.2.6
MySql 5.0

The entry in the users table is strangely correct though.
Unfortunately I don't have the capture from the login and as I mentioned it sort of rights itself once I've deleted the database entries.

From the log you get this

The bot complains when the error happens (which is the capture I don't have) that it could not find the details for use <number>.

It's not even the same user who I get the issues with, it changes.

I'm assuming that it might actually be some error occuring on the server side or somesuch.

We currently have no devs playing AoC which makes it hard to actually test this.

A workaround and also probably a debugging version of the bot could be used to help narrow down the issue.
