Author Topic: is anyone else having problems with connecting to FC with bots (Read 2369 times)

I have been running 15 bots for a LONG time, but tonight it started messing up..I am only able to connect 13 bots plus 2 clients.. seems like they have changed it to allow only 15 connections from the same IP, or something. just wondering if anyone else noticed the same problem.

I have 15 bots running on RK3 atm, no problems so far (restarted a bot w/o any problems). The connections per IP are limited, but I thought it was about 20 connections.

yea that is what I was thinking also.. I am wondering if fc was having problems tonight. I will check it out tomorrow..when I get up

I never had any problems with a high number of connections at the same time. Though I never tried to login several bots at once, just one after another.

well again tonight started having problems again.. where my client couldnt connect to the chat server so I start shutting down bots one by one.. I am now down to 10 bots so 11 connections total.. am I the only one having this problem?

Anyone else having a problem, I seem to still be unable to bring up anything else. I can have a max 12 connections and that is it.

i actually have been having trouble myself, for some reason the bot isn't listening to the guildchat at all, and i can't have it relay to an irc server, i tried redoing the whole sql database and getting a new copy of the bots, even repaired php and i still have the same problem, this has been happening for a few days, the bots only respond to tells not guildchat, i can't even have them relay from the private chat to the guildchat. anyone have any solutions/same problems as me?

Sounds like you got the org name wrong in Bot.conf. Make sure the spelling is exact.

I figured out the problem, it was a program that opened the bot file that wasn't reading from the directory used. Hard to explain but figured it out shortly after I posted actually.
