WhereIs Module
« on: September 07, 2006, 07:30:22 pm »
WhereIs-0.2.1.zip for BeBot 0.2.X.

This is the WhereIs module running on geosurvey (RK1). Basically, it tells you where stuff is on Rubi-Ka.

I haven't included the sql information as I haven't really figured out a good way to sync your custom information vs. the "official" information as the official information on geosurvey is intended to be a continual work in progress.

Anyway, the module will let you add your own whereis factiods, and shows usage of MySQL's Full Text searching, so here it is for your enjoyment...or something.

Whoops. I have mutiple bots sharing whereis information. If you want to use this module on your bot, edit the WhereIs.php file and remove all occurances of aoglobal. to make the bot query the proper database. :)

Not sure whats wrong but "Leo" doesn't work. It says "Sorry, I don't know where that is. Click here to learn how to add Leo" but then I try to add Leo it says "Leo was not added to the whereis database because it already exisits." (also note the spelling mistake). So i looked in the database... Leo was there, with the information about where he is, so I tried "!whereis id 394" (394 = leo) and that worked. So i thought theres something wrong with the name, so I changed it to something else, and it worked, but when i changed it back to leo, it stops working. I guess "Leo" was too short?

If Leo is something you added make sure you've approved the factoid.

Just /tell yourbot whereis for the moderation interface.

You need to be an admin or raidleader to moderate whereis additions.

Nope its in the sql from the 3rd post. I checked in the database and its "1" under approve. When I do !whereis it says "No whereis entries pending moderation at this time." I should make it clear that this only happens for "Leo" other entries seem to work so far.
