Title: Patch 6 - Player Renown

Hi, I don't know if it's possible to subtract the renown of a player from the guild members list, but since everything is possible from that list, the renown probably is as well.

What I would like to see is a mod that adds up all the renown for a player, both the main and all alts.

"!renown nick Name" would then give a list that showed my accumulated renown including my alts listed. (Which are stored in another db)

"!renown guild" would then list all guild members main's with the corresponding renown gathered. Alt's are not listed in this view as all renown is gathered under the main's name.

"!renown week" Would show the gathered renown for the current week. Resetting on Sunday at 24.00

"!renown month" Would show the gathered renown for the current month. Resetting on change of month.

"!renown total" Would show the gathered renown in total since launch of guild renown.

Possible? I don't know ^^ But it would be very useful for creating guild competitions and rewards thereafter.

That would be simpel.
But i see FC is comming with a webpage for Renown stats. Maybe we should wait a week to see what they have on that?

Ok, they are only adding Guild Renown Rank

In terms of guild renown, it is the weekly rankings that we hope to publish to the web. If that works we may consider more in the future, but it is a starting point.

But but but.. We will miss out on the renown earned today then! Forever!  :D

Hmm.. or does it update only once a week in the guild view?

As the renown of the individual players are lost when there's a new week I would really like to see this one up and running. Any of you pro's out there that are able to make this work? :)

I guess they havent released the xml yet, but funcom said that they would do it soon (TM)

Alright, I've sent them an email and I'll post the response here.

But while at this; what file extracts the information about the guild members?

when i asked dev about this, i got info that it was community server that handlet this info. Same as who is in guild and what rank. The bot do not handle request against that server atm as i know.. Will digg more into it next week when im back from this long weekend :)

Didn't make me much wiser, but here's the response I got when asking about the release of the xml for the renown.

"I will forward this for review, currently we do not support bots player
use, so I would not have this information to release to players. I
appreciate your patience.

The .xml feed is probly long way to go before we get a prober system like they have in AO.

The only way to get this information will probly be to make a community connection to retrieve the info like the clien does...

Is a community connection what is used to retrieve the class and level as well? If it somehow was possible to retrive what is there every sunday evening, just before the rankings, we would have what's needed really.

class and level on others (!whois) is a chatserver query.
But the auth and check if user exist im not sure if its community or just a auth server..
If it is community, there should probly be possible to grab the info once on start.

Now that the renown has been changed to a different channel, is it now easier to get the data needed to make a mod based on it?

yeah, its still different sources. Bebot are only connected to chatserv. And that server is limited to just chat and few char information. If it should get more data the bot need to connect more servers.
