hi want to switch my bot to my second account, on this acc i will create a new player for the bot with the same name like now.
so only the account login and password will change.. (and the bot-char-id)
will i get problems doing this? or does the bot work without trouble on the new account (does he remember the addes friends or does he re-add them?)
-
You only need to change account info in conf/Botname.bot.conf
The bot will start rosterupdate and add buddies, if not you can force it todo so with "!rosterupdate" on a char with access todo so.
I have done this few times on AoC with success.

thx for the fast answer and the good news :D

hmm an other small question: how many buddies can a bot add in age of conan?
-
Around 1000. Dont remember if it was 1024, 1001, 1000 or 999.
But 999 should be enough for most guilds anyway :P
-
for normal guilds yes, but i want to run a bot just for checking how many players of a server are online and some stats
999 - 1024 is not enoth :(
-
Yeah, i had 6bots up doing this right before servermerge. Using slavebots (not working after 1.05patch).
I was thinking about a solution for this. What if every BeBot reported their member (online) counts into a central db every 5min or so. That way we could get some up2date stats...

transfering bots to another account is really nicely done now, since you can get an UNLIMITED free trial account which you can join a guild in, only limitation is leaving tortage and speaking in global.
Great for a simple guild bot on any server.

Yes, but you need to notice members of the bot to add the bot as friend, or else you cant talk to it via tells ;)
