Title: Frustration LoL
Post by: Vivek Mjod on December 23, 2011, 12:23:02 am
I lost MySQL data base in a computer fail, but I had my bebot files backed up...

I installed MySQL on the new computer, followed the same directions for MySQL set up and copied the Bebot files over from my backup.

Now the bot will only run if I remove 6 mods that I had added... BEER, Bound, Blackadder, Homer, and two other custom I made (Conan and Southpark)...

It was difficult to lose the MySQL database info, but that can be recreated with a little time, any Ideas why only a few mods no longer work?

This is the error I get when I place one or more of these files back in the bot:

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class beer in C:\Program files\AOC Bebot-0.6.8\modules\aoc\Beer.php on line 118"

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class adder in C:\Program files\AOC Bebot-0.6.8\modules\aoc\Blackadder.php on line 107"

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Bound in C:\Program files\AOC Bebot-0.6.8\modules\aoc\Bound.php on line 370"

Check if you have doublicated your modules.

C:\Program files\AOC Bebot-0.6.8\modules\aoc\
C:\Program files\AOC Bebot-0.6.8\custom\modules\

Costume modules should be placed in "\custom\modules" only and not "\modules\aoc\" (atleast not both places;)

Going forward, get your database backing up! The MySQL n00b Help (http://bebot.link/helpful-posts/mysql-n00b-help/) thread is somewhat out of date, but the section on backing up MySQL is still valid. On Linux setup a crontab to backup the data, on windows do it from a scheduled task. Then make sure your backup software backs up the resulting SQL dump.
