Modules and BeBot 0.5.2
« on: August 17, 2008, 02:52:56 pm »
Apache 2.2
MySQL 5.0.67
PhP 5.2.6
BeBot 0.5.2

Problem #1  Stupid me installed symbpb.php along with sourcing the older tables (didn't check to see if you had coded them into the full package; which you did).  Now symb and pb are not finding results.  Removed the tables.  Tried to reinstall the tables by "source"ing the sql tables from extra/symbiants.  Symbiants.sql loaded fine, but when reloading pocketbosses, you get ERROR 1146 (42S02): Table 'botname.#___pocketbosses' doesn't exist.  Now this isn't really a problem because it does create the table pocketbosses and the command DOES work.  Just wanted to report this.  Keep in mind that I do not have tables set up to botname_table.

Problem #2  No matter what I do, custom modules will not load.  Even if you put them in botname/custom/modules.  Wierd because in the main command screen for the bot, it shows them loading.  An example is the older 0.4 version of xp.php.  It loads, yet the command itself is not usable, displayed, etc.  When you update the code you had for 0.5.1 version of BeBot, can you make simple to understand, step-by-step instructions how to fix for 0.5.2?  There are many users, such as myself that are very PHP/SQL challenged.

Problem #3 ... Not a problem per se, but very important.  Update Glara's installation wiki post for Windows XP.

1.  Update all service packs on Windows before you begin.
2.  Download and install Apache Server 2.2
3.  Download and install MySQL 5.0.67
4.  When installing MySQL, make sure you select "CUSTOM INSTALL" and choose directory c:\pathwithnoname.  MySQL AB coders accidently coded a space in the installpath portion of the MSI file.  This will cause it to blow up in the end and not load the service.
5.  Install PHP 5.2.6.  Make sure you select Apache Server 2.2.
6.  Follow Glara's installation steps for creating user, blah blah...

#1 you need to change the table version so it can redo the creation and entering of data
they should be in the table called table version
change the symbiants and pocketbosses to 1
then restart 1 of your bots

#2 older module will not work with how modules are done now, there is a module that will enable the use of older modules here http://bebot.link/0-5-x-customunofficial-modules/0-4_support-for-latest-0-5/
