Author Topic: can't start bot (Read 1988 times)

I am new to bebot and have been trying to get it setup and working. I followed the instructions in the readme file to setup the bot and have created a mysql database. I'm using linux suse 10.3x64 and tried using the php pack I found on this site with wine.
When running using that php and iit says file not found several times and the error log refers to several files such as something.so in the php_extension dir which are not there.
When that didn't work I tried using the php installed on my computer and after installing php sockets and another extension the script was looking for it still wasn't working. I removed the paramater in the unix php section telling it to use -c ./ and the script starts but it still isn't working. It shows that it has connected to the database and there are several php notices and one warning repeated 3 times. The script displays the same information over and over again. Attached is the output of my StartBot.php while using php installed in linux. Oh i've also set the -c ./ while starting by typing "php -c ./ StartBot.php with no change. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I tried setting the bot up on my windows machine just to see if it works and it works fine. I then copied the files I used on the windows machine and get the before listed error.

After further research into my issue I realized it's the same as the one posted at [url http://bebot.link/index.php/topic,274.0.html]http://bebot.link/index.php/topic,274.0.html[/url].
I followed all the instructions and still couldn't get it. Reading that post made me think of editing php.ini which I did and after uncommenting the 2 extension lines with the .dll files I can use the bot with wine on a linux system. Not ideal I know but at least it works.

Oh I forgot to get it to run I had to run main.php instead of the start file.

Those notices should be pretty harmless.

It should be best to use the linux version of php to get bebot running, just make sure you got the socket and mysql extensions for php properly installed.
