Title: mysql error while trying to run second bot on linux install
Post by: End on August 18, 2007, 01:11:29 am
Hi,

I'm trying to setup a second bot on my server. The first server is a bebot 2.x one.
Just downloaded the latest 4.1 version and tried to run it on a 2nd AO bot account, but its giving me extention errors.
the error is: "MySQL support required to run this bot"

As the first bot is an orgbot i thought to post here first before messing around too much with the server config.

It seems one or more of the following things are happening:
-the 4.1 bot cant find the extensions needed
-the 4.1 bot requires different versions of mysql/php
-i missed something somewhere in the config files

i'm using php version 4.3.9 and mysql  Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.20, for redhat-linux-gnu (i686)

Hopefully somebody here has some info that could help me :)

On linux servers apache doesn't always use both the php.ini in the current directory AND the one in the php configuration directory. I delete the php.ini in the bot dir and that fixed it for me.
