Title: Autoinv, guild bot, guest chan
Post by: Dracutza on July 30, 2007, 06:02:41 pm
Upgraded guild bot to 4 and loving it, esp the fact that relay is auto-on.

We have quite a bit of guests on our bot, and I got autoinv to work for guests, but again, I think I don't fully understand the function of NOTIFY, as the guests now appear in !online not only as in the guest chan, but also as normal members.

!online
There are 2 memebers and 2 guests online

Code: [Select]
Members
=========
member1 200 nano enf member
member2 200 opi crat general
guest1 200 opi shade general
guest2 200 opi fixer member

Guests
+++++++
guest1 200 opi shade general
guest2 200 opi fixer member

this used to happen if someone !member'ed the guest instead of !guest them, but that does not appear to be the case here.

Anyway to prevent them from displaying in the members section?

or.... how do I get autoinv to work prpperly?

It's acutally working as intended.

Autoinvite needs the targets to be in the buddy list of the bot, which means they have to be on notify. Online lists all characters on notify as online members. And it lists everyone in the private chatgroup as online in guest channel.

ok, at least I know it's not something I'm doing wrong.

Are the mechanics in place so that if someone wanted to, they could modify !online so that if a member is in guest chan, they are not included in the members portion of online display and only the guest portion?

Yeah i would like to see that too, sometimes this is a little bit confusing since it list them all as members of the org ;)
