Title: ver 2, ver 3, aochat fix and towers
Post by: Dracutza on November 17, 2006, 05:42:13 pm
I started with bebot 0.2.9, the bebot php5 files, and neo-vortex's aochat fix for the user id fix.  Everything worked fine for the most part right from the start.  cloak/city, online, logon, as well as battle and victory.

After discovering that the AI modules were not included in 0.2.9 and that due to "0.3 being so close to release" that while omitted from 0.2.9, noone was going to put the time into adding them to that version, I decided to start from scratch again with 0.3.

After some tweaking, I got things working fine again with 0.3, the bebot php5 files, and neo's aochat fix.  So far the only problem I've come across is that tower actions are not getting recorded.  I don't know yet if alien raid activity is being recorded either, but there has been tower activity, yet !victory and !battle results in an empty window.

Since the only thing that has changed in my attempt is the 0.3 release, I am assuming there is either an incompatibility between 0.3 and neo's aochat, or I am missing something undocumented in the 0.3 commands that was "on" be default in 0.2.9 and "off" in 0.3.

The 0.3 i am using was straight from the link provided on aodevs.com.

Any help is appreciated.

It's likely an incompatibility with the AOChat version.

The reason for this is that Auno in all his infinite wisdom decided to
1) Hard code the ext messages in the AOChat library
and
2) CHANGE the wording from Funcom's original, and to top it off, it has changed between AOChat versions.

Plain simply, the tower module regexp needs to be updated.
