I have a froob account to compliment my normal account, and it is within the org at rank General so I can promote myself as I see fit to Squad Commander, and anyone else of course.
This froob is also a bank, I don't need to explain that to you guys. As such, it tends to come and go as required, since it's well, me, and I'm already online if its online, I prefer to have it's notify turned off, so its frequent comings and goings don't disturb everybody.
!notify off doesn't work properly.
Well it does, immediately, but it is not persistant. It wont save.
-bank logs on
-everyone sees bank log on
-check online status - bank visible
-!notify off gearswapper
-Bot says notify is disabled
-check online stuats - bank not visible (good)
-logout - no message (good)
-login again - everyone sees bank log on

I fixed some errors around notify in SVN, so I couldn't reproduce your error.
Removing a toon from notify did exactly that for me, it didn't show up again on next logon.
