how do i stop the bot from going through the entire 220 people stating that their online or offline...with the exception of the exact moment he or she logs on or off?

It only needs to do it once to populate/update the members list. Let it do it all the way through and it should be fine after that.

Either you can recode not to spit out that info for the first time (or code in a !shutup command like I did :P)

Or as many people do, put the bot on /ignore til it's done.

It's a known issue being addressed soon by proper tracking internally.
