    Hey,

    I'm thinkin about writing a bot that doesnt use php just for my own amusement and was wondering when I can get information on connecting to the chat server etc

    Hi there!
    You can find AOChat (Class/Module that connects to the AO chatservers) in a PHP and a C version right here and a C# port of that right here.
    Just look at the 3 sources and it should be pretty easy to figure out how its done. It really is not that hard...
