Title: Tortoise SVN Help.
Post by: Wizhk on December 26, 2008, 08:06:52 am
OK I have my bot working somewhat.. It will not talk in guild chat and I have found that I may need to be updating the bot information via SVN. I have NO idea how to use this Tortoise SVN. Any help to get me started would be appreciated.

I have Tortoise SVN installed and I can use it from Windows Explorer. My problem may be that I am using the wrong URL for update information, or it may be more complicated then that.

Command: Checkout from http://svn.shadow-realm.org/index.py/BeBot/tags/0.6.1, revision HEAD, Fully recursive, Externals included
Error: Repository moved temporarily to '/index.py/BeBot/tags/0.6.1/'; please relocate
Finished!:

The path to the root directory of the SVN server is http://svn.shadow-realm.org/svn/

The 0.6 branch, which is the code you want for a stable 0.6.x bot as not all changes there result in direct new releases, can be found under http://svn.shadow-realm.org/svn/branches/0.6/

Ok that gives me a better result. But I need a login and password?

Also which function of Tortoise should I be using to keep my bebot files up to date?
Should I create a whole new installation of the Bot starting with the SVN tool or can I just start keeping it updated with Tortoise starting now?

Thank You,

Wizhk

The path to the root directory of the SVN server is http://svn.shadow-realm.org/svn/

the Address needed is http://svn.shadow-realm.org/svn/BeBot/
Any attempt to access http://svn.shadow-realm.org/svn/ requires a password as this is not BeBot (Shared Repository)
