Title: Spamming members to set crafts
Post by: Organizer on August 10, 2008, 04:09:14 pm
Is there any reason the later builds should no longer spam level 40+ members to set their crafts as long as it is turned on?

For some reason my bot stopped doing it at one point (to send these tells to all members who come online, without their crafts set at 40+).

Did another change maybe break it, or did it get removed? Any suggestions? ;)

yeah I noticed it stopped doing that as well a while ago, but since my members were just complaining about it because they did not "feel like" setting up their crafting classes.

They would just complain and use more energy complaining about it then to just type one small command into it.  I hate people sometimes  :)

OK - it should now work as intended.  For those of you whose members complain, you can use !settings Craftclasses Remind FALSE to turn off reminders.

Those who figures it out or have a good reason will ask me, and I'll tell them. For the rest I rather enforce them to set their crafts to be honest, so that we have can get a proper overview  :)

We could then make a setting that ignores the player's preference (and maybe hides it from them, I dunno I haven't delved into the prefs yet)

Of course the creation of any such setting would result in somebody asking for a way to override it with yet another pref. And the feature request cycle continues =)
