Hi there.
I wondered, if i would like to make a very simple script for the bot (in AoC) wich simply just contained a popup window with text. How would i go and do this? Have been looking around quite some time to figure this out, but failed due to confusion hehe.
Lets say i just wanna send a private tell to the bot: !test
And it replies with a test popup clicky thingie. :P
If this is a simple task, really thanks in advanced. :]

or you get into this thread: make a script, basic aoc script and add an alias..

Thanks. But its all detours to what i really want. I'll just have to try and learn bit more :]
All i want is a php for the custom/modules folder of my bot, wich simply posts a popup of whatever i want to write inside. Less fancy than anything i can find here ^-^
But thanks for the ideas :]

The script module is the perfect way to do what you describe.
2 files are attached to this post.
Put the scripts.php in your <bot>/custom/modules folder and restart the bot
save the welcome.txt in your <bot>/scripts folder
do this command on the bot:
!comalias add welcome script welcome
Then when ever anyone does !welcome in guild chat the bot will post a welcome click-able link to a pop-up in guild chat. Also, /tell <botname> !welcome will return you a tell from your bot with the click-able welcome link, but this is really not useful for a welcome script.
This is my guilds welcome script, but you can change it to fit your needs. Another point, changing the script does not require restarting of the bot.

Ok, i admit i was bit quick in the turns there. The script module is really nice!
Thanks for pointing it out to me Cuval, and thanks for the reassurance and ideas Kyr :]
