Guild Web Chat
« on: June 30, 2010, 12:51:37 pm »
Hi

We used to have a simple way of communicating with our guild members in-game about a year ago. We could write to guild chat from a web page, and we saw everything written in-game. A new person took over the bot, and disabled this function. Now this person has gone rouge, and I can't seem to find this web page or module again.

I'm in the control of a Bebot now, and trying to find a Bebot module or a web service with this functionality. You have ANY idea if this service still exists? I've tried the AoC Chat app, but it require some firewall ports open, and therefore it's of no use to some of our members.

We're running GuildLaunch. I'm not 100% sure what code base it's run on, but it accepts most HTML and PHP stuff in the widgets I think. I can not add more to this server. It's strictly widget code that is accepted.

About one year ago we ran the TWC. I supose it stands for T something Web Chat. It worked very well, but I can't find it again.

Yes, I have a plan on testing IRC, but I'm not sure how this works from web. Is it possible to integrate this in a widget do you think? We would very much like to have it integrated on our site. But of-course, if it can't be done, we'd survive with a link to a different service. But it have to be web though. Or else we might as well just use the AoC Chat program.

The "T" stands for Temar who is the creator of TWC and also developer of bebot ;)

You can find Temar's Web Chat (TWC) by following this link: http://twc.aofiles.com/
