Title: New Bot Setup issue
Post by: Azrac on August 15, 2009, 05:11:27 pm
Hi Bebot People.

A long time ago I ran Bebot for AOC and it worked perfectly.

Today I returned to AOC and decided to set up a bot again.

I went through your installation wiki, followed all steps without any issues and have the newest versions of php and mysql running.

:EDIT: a bit of system info.
Running Windows Vista Premium 32bit, fully patched with all SP and security patches
Running latest versions of PHP and MYSQL downloaded today
Not running any local firewalls, running Kaspersky antivirus.
Connecting to internet via ADSL (Broadband connection) thats going though Cable
Have run Bebot on this machine before, but reinstalled MYSQL before trying to set it all up and the old bot is long deleted (downloaded the latest version from the website)

Unfortunately when I run Startbot.Bat I get this

Curl extension loaded

Warning: mysql_connect(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: No such
host is known.  in C:\AocBot\Sources\MySQL.php on line 129

Warning: mysql_connect(): [2002] php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: N
o such host is kn (trying to connect via tcp://localhost:3306) in C:\AocBot\Sour
ces\MySQL.php on line 129

Warning: mysql_connect(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: No such
host is known.  in C:\AocBot\Sources\MySQL.php on line 129

Fatal error: Call to a member function log() on a non-object in C:\AocBot\Source
s\MySQL.php on line 164

And thats all I get, it just keeps showing this, then restarting the bot, showing it over and over again until i CTRl-C and stop it.

Can anyone help me figure out whats wrong please ??.

Thanks in advance

Did you edit Souces/Mysql.conf?

Did you add the hostname in said file. Where it asks you should put "localhost" as the host name. Also try "127.0.0.1" if all else fails

I did yes, but i'll try modifying it for 127.0.0.1

Thanks for the quick response Joe :)

:EDIT: It worked with 127.0.0.1 Thanks once again :)
