check you mysql conf file to make sure it is correct with the values that you used to create the DB

Check firewall settings as it could be blocking incoming traffic to your MySQL server.

Second, you could try using localhost instead of 127.0.0.1 for your MySQL server.

See if you could find "mysql-cli.exe" or "mysql.exe" (Not sure whats the name of that client file on Windows) in your MySQL bin folder.
execute that using "cmd" with:
Quote
mysql --user=user_name --password=your_password db_name

EDIT:
Found a installation on one of my computers.
The client name is "mysql.exe".
You could also try the files "mysqlcheck.exe" "mysqltest.exe" and see if anyone of them gives you a result that you can connect to your DB..

ok i fixed it, apearantly i had 2 Mysql running, the old one and the new, even though i removed the old one. but it was still in my registery files, so i removed them all from the registery, and installed the latest one again, and now its working.
=)
now i dont know if i should remove this post or keep it, i will leave this to an admin to decide, i was gonna remove it but i thought someone with the same problem might need it.
thanks alot for your help guys, i really apreciate it.
=)
