Where can I change the default group for alts? What I see now is that they end up in ANONYMOUS group, which doesnt give them access to the bot.. How can I change that all alts ends up in same group as theire main, or at least in Members group that I created?
-
check "!set security" and have it use alts. that way the toon has the highest level security of all his alts. Also check "!set alts" to verify it's security setting down at the bottom
-
If the group changes for the main, will the alts group change accordingly automaticly or?
-
If "Player1Main" is in group "Member".
Then he joins guild with his alt "Player1Alt" and log his main "Player1Main" and add "Player1Alt" as alt, "Player1Alt" will inheritance "Player1Main"'s group.
-
The priority for shared security ranks among alts is pretty simple, always going over all alts:
- Hardcoded ranks always come first, only applies to OWNER and SUPER-ADMINs in the config file.
- Then BANNED is checked, so if any alt is banned all are banned.
- If none of the first two checks fit the highest rank among all registered alts is used.
-
yep, that is why I have mine set up as one of our orgmates has 50 alts now (don't ask)

What I ment is, I have another thread going here with autoadd of users to the bot (http://bebot.link/aoc-0-6-support/autoadd-users/ (http://bebot.link/aoc-0-6-support/autoadd-users/)), which I hope will cause all users that speaks in guildchat to end up in Members group and get the regular member class permission.
Now, lets say 1 admin talks in guild chat, gets autoadded to bot, adds his alts with !alts add Alt1, !alts add Alt2 and so on. Then he asks me, hey, where is my rank in the bot. Then I change his mains group to Super Admin for example. Will then all his alts that previously was in members group follow the main and automaticly end up in Super Admin? or is it so that alts get the group the main has at the time the alt is added, and any changes to that is all manual for each alt.

The user will have super-admin rights on all alts afterwards in your example.
But there still might be a slight missperception: the alts don't get added to the super-admin group, instead they are just handled as if they were in the group.
If you remove the alt, the stand-alone character will again just be a member, or whatever lower group it was in.
