Title: AoC - Patch 2.1 and scripts
Post by: Runemy on October 30, 2010, 05:02:00 am
I guess many bot dependant people like me raised an eyebrow when I read the developers monthly update today.

Then we’ve made many, many small improvements behind the scenes to some of our core systems and tools:
    * Scripting: Added several small features to our Visual Scripting System (Scry) and added support for Lua scripting as well, this can allow scripter to make more dynamic content in the future.

So, to put it short, bebot devs, will this affect the future of bebot and if so, do you have any clue as to how? :)

I read that as game engine not chat engine focussed - so they can do more in-game events and reactive events than now...

I dont think the current way is being removed. But there will be possible todo more stuff like dynamic clocks with flash etc ingame.
Maybe possible for a RealTime DPS meeter built-in as a script.

This should not affect the bots in any way.
This merely gives customizers more powerful tools related to the scripts you can run trough the AoC game client.
