Raid Ladder Type of Bot
« on: April 11, 2009, 11:34:15 pm »
I've searched the forums and I don't know PHP at all so cannot program this.

But is there a Module that can be made that has all guild members in it, And Flags those that are in a Raid, if we have them join a Raid via Bebots Raid Module.  Then we can keep track of who is due to loot next or what guild members have.
We are moving to a Ladder system so everyone has a chance to win loot and Not DKP.

How does that system work? Perhaps one of the existing raid modules could do it?

We have a list of all guild members.  We keep track of whom of EACH Class Gets a loot and they fall to the Bottom of the List when they loot and someone else moves up.  Thus always Rotating.  If They got loot one raid, and very next raid no one of that class was on they could loot that as well.

Its Def Not DKP.

Basically highest points win, but has to bid all points? And you get one point per raid you participate?

But yes, I think there is no module supporting this kind of rolling.

Simpel use the raidmodule.
Player A get item, give him points.
Next loot, player with lowest points get the loot. If more then 1, roll with the players that is even.

Imo this system is as unfair as you can make it a system without doing complete rolling each time... But if your guild is ok with it thats ofc good.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
- Sorry, i dont have time to reply question on PM. Make a topic.

Seems like you guys dont understand how the ladder system works..

hope that the paste below explains
quote

Within our system, there are actually two ladders; one for general loot and one specific to a player class. The way it works is that players are arranged on the ladder, and when a player is interested in loot, priority is given based on their position on the ladder. When a member acquires a new piece of loot, they are moved to the bottom of the ladder while the remaining attendees are moved up to the next position (absent members maintain their current position). This means that even if you only raid once in a while, you can still move up the ladder, and depending on circumstances, have the chance to loot the first drop of an item. This has actually happened several times during our raids, and helps even the loot distribution out. Several of our members have even commented that our loot system is the reason they were drawn to our guild in the first place, and sometimes, it's the reason players have remained members of our guild.

The benefits of the ladder system is that rewards players who can't play as frequently, while rewarding players who attend raids more often, since regular attenders can move up on the ladder several times within a week.

unquote

another:
We have created a ladder with X amount of rungs, the X being how many level 80 raiders we have in the guild.  When loot drops, whatever your place on the ladder will dictate your priority on the loot.

If you take a piece of loot, you are then rotated back to the bottom of the ladder, and everyone under you will move up a spot.  People who do not attend a raid do not move up or down rungs, they will be passed by people who are at a raid, moving up and down the ladder.

Would be very nice to have, in game and (it has been a while since I programmed..) doesnt seem to hard :) We now use a website www.lddrs.com
