whois
« on: February 24, 2009, 04:43:52 am »
Hello everyone,

Loving this bot so far.  Just having an issue or two here.  The bot won't post anyone's lvl in AOC when anyone logs on.  Is this a whois issue?

I see this in the command prompt window:

MySQL error (#0) on query: INSERT INTO whois (id, nickname, level, class, craft1, craft2, location, online, update) VALUES

After VALUES it all seems fine and shows the guild member's information and what not.  Is there any resolve to this.  I did as the first guy stated re-set up SQL and re-did the bebot and it is still doing this.  In game everything apears to be working just fine.  However I notice it does not state each character's level when they log on.  It will state their name then say
Level ()

Hopefully this gives enough information to work with.  If not please let me know what you need and I will add whatever information is needed to resolve this issue for us.  Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the response Temar but that core file didn't work.  I'm still having the same issues.  It's really funky.  Don't get it.  But you said it should get resolved in the next update right, bro?

Thanks
~Bull~

Any suggestion then of what to do next?  I have the whois.php file in the bebot\core\aoc directory.  Or is there another place I need to place this?

Actually I notice there are two Whois.php files.  One in Modules and one in Core.  I'm wondering if I should just download the newest bebot and start over from scratch.  Well I have a lot of information already saved into this bot.  If I do this, how do I keep all the data from being erased?  Which file stores all the data?  I will keep that one file but be gone with the rest.

Thanks,
~Bull~

Wonder if a lil script may help?  Would it help if I copy and paste script from any of the php files?

it says your whois table doesn't exist, it should get created when bot loads

do you have a log/screen like above of when your bot loads (more important when it loads /core/aoc/whois.php)

I already posted a log here, maybe this  2 topics should merge: click on me

LATER EDIT Problem solved by dropping the WhoIS table.

Last night I re-setup the bot from scratch removing all old files and everything.  It now works great and no issues.  I really do appreciate all the help everyone has given me on here with this.  This bot is a beautiful thing for our guild.  A very helpful tool for all of our members.  Now we can all use it without flaw.

Thanks everyone,
~Bull~
