Title: MySQL issue
Post by: Krypto on November 18, 2009, 06:32:00 pm
Heya

While this is not in direct connection to BeBot, it is an issue that prevents me from using the bots as normal.
2 days ago my MySQL server had a total breakdown, I tracked the issue down to a bug. The bug prevents me from installing the bot back into it's default directory.

Thus I'm left in a nasty predicament, I did not backup my raidbot's DB recently and my only other *.sql backup is old.
(Yes lesson learnt!)

The MySQL data folder in it's old directory is still intact, is there a way for me to export the points log or entire database to my new install of MySQL?
I am completely unable to access these databases via MySQL due to the bug in software, if I could I would have just dumped them and restored.

Anyone had a similar issue?

Check the mysequel website's download section: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/ and grab the MySQL Gui Tools, those include an application that assists you in migrating databases between servers and directory structures. Hope this helps.
