Hello,
I've had my bot running for a few weeks now, couple tweaks and all seems well.
One thing I have not figured out is the IRC module. I'm not really clear what it will do. Will this allow me to chat from out of game to in-game players? If so, then I have a few questions about this. Sorry if they are lame, appreciate any tips and help ...
- if and I am out of game (at work, for example) how would I access to chat in-game ... do I need a chat client?
- where do I connect to?
- I notice the IRC module has numerous config options. what's needed, what host do I use; I'm not chat savvy at all.
Perhaps there is a tutorial on setting up the IRC.
BTW ... for use with AoC game/bebot.
Thanks,
Eric

The IRC module allows communication with an IRC channel. Using this normal IRC clients can communicate with the privgroup or orgchat, and it can also be used to link multiple org chats together. Personally i have 4 orgs who can communicate with eachother.
You will need to set it up to use an IRC server, either one you setup and run yourself or use for example irc.funcom.com
You will also need an IRC client like mIRC, Xchat or HydraIRC (google it) to connect yourself to IRC.
A general IRC primer tutorial would likely be a good place to start (again google is your friend) when it comes to understanding IRC better.

Thanks, Khalem, for the tips. I'll work from there.
