    What is BeBot?

    BeBot is a guild and raid management system for the Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Games (MMORPG's) Anarchy Online and Age of Conan by Funcom.

    The common heritage of both games allows BeBot to almost seamlessly support both games and provides your guild or raid group with multiple tools to manage day to day tasks as well as keeping track of who is online. The communities surrounding both games have also released third party modules for the bot which allows you extend the bot with new features and allows you to do just about anything you want.

    BeBot is written in the popular scripting language PHP and uses a MySQL database for data management. This means that it's easy to extend and modify the bot for your own needs, and this also allows you to integrate the bot with a web interface.

    We hope you have as much fun using BeBot as we had making it.

    This message just to witness Bebot's legacy is still alive :
    The current team has just patched & tested the bot within PHP 8.2/3 context.

    So we'll soon publish patch 0.8.0 in 2024 meaning ... bot is nearly 20 YEARS OLD since its release in 2004 O_o !

    And as a special christmas/birthday gift, we'll also announce Bebot is getting ready to be Docker runnable soon - http://wiki.bebot.link/index.php/Docker

    By the way, feel free to pay us a visit in the forum.

    Bebot still seems popular among the AO community, and i'm ready to invest some efforts from time to time to maintain it.

    Therefore, efforts will focus on the "official" GitHub 0.7.x version available at https://github.com/J-Soft/BeBot

    My own fork at https://github.com/bitnykk/BeBot will be a playground/testing kind of "beta" - before Khalem eventually merges welcomed changes to "official" upper.

    A new AO forum section was created for this evolutive release, while the left menus were updated :
    - download link now point toward the "official" 0.7.x upper
    - documentation is still mainly relevant even with this release
    - forum and license link are also still up-to-date and remained

    After a few days of downtime, the site is now back up on a new host.
    The wiki is currently locked down due to changes breaking the authentication system caused by a security upgrade. Will try to get that fixed asap.

    Let me know if you spot anything else not working.

    As most of you probably noticed, the project is fairly dormant for the time being. There are currently no active developers working on the project, and my own time is fairly limited in between school, family and sleep.

    First off I would like to apologize for the delayed release following the launch of the expansion.
    With that out of the way, this release adds support for the new expansion and there have been no issues reported using the bot post release with the compatibility code added.

    This release primarily focuses on AoC again, however there are a few fixes and changes that affect both games. Most notably the !help output should be a lot less spammy now.

    As usual big props to Chaoz for providing an AoC patch so quickly :)

    Marking the fifth anniversary of BeBot which had it's first public release in January 2005 comes a maintenance release which addresses several issues. This release is mandatory for Age of Conan users due to protocol changes.
